she has to select 2 out of 8 toppings.
no of ways= 8c2

The possible pairs that can be formed are (1,2);(1,3);(1,4);(1,5)...(7,8). The other way (2,1);(3,1)...(8,7) is not possible here because we are asked to form the pizzas with 2 different toppings.. so possible answer is 8c2=28

formula to find....n!/(n-c)!
Where n=8 and c=2
(8*7*6*5*4*3*2*1)/(6*5*4*3*2*1)=56

Now suppose you wanted to display one topping in the middle and the other around the edge, you would be considering arrangements and the answer would be
P(8, 2) = 8!/6!
= 8*7
= 56

However, suppose that you wish to sprinkle toppings randomly over the pizza base. Since it does not matter what the arrangements are, the number of ways is
C(8, 2) = 8! / 2!*6!
= 8*7 / 2*1
= 56/2
= 28

The right answer is 8p2..i.e.,56..because pairs such as (1,2);(1,3)....(7,8) and (2,1);(3,1)...(8,7) are possible

8*7=56 toppings
because we generally write 8c2=28 but in case of toppings we will have some specific arrangements hence we write 8*7=56
