cost of one tea=600/24=25;
he has 2200 and got 8 cups of tea means =8*25=200
remaining amount he has 2000;
he can buy 15 cups of coffee with 1000,
so he buys 30 cups of coffee with 2000 rupes

31 cups as each tea cost 25 rupees and each coffee cost 63

I am sorry about the last part of the earlier post.
The initial part of the solution is correct.
The mistake I have done is I assumed eight cups of coffee instead of tea.

The answer should be 32.

The first thing one has to notice is the price of coffee is not given directly, even if the price is 62.51, the person can buy only 15 cups as he cannot afford the 16 th cup.

So, if the price of the coffee is 62.51, he can buy 32 cups with the wrong money.
Please do not take the price of coffee as 66.66 and Tea as 25 directly, because that is what ELitmus wants you to do.

So, please do not assume it wrongly as it is a maximisation question

As we are seeing from the last few elitmus tests, the focus is on maximum and minimum problems.
The major difficultywith these kind of problems is one has to apply reasoning while solving these questions.
The other important aspect is clearly noting what are the things to be maximised and the relation of those things with others.
In this case the number of cups of tea is to be maximised,let us put this way.

Number of cups of tea To be Maximised
Price of each cccup of tea To be minimised
Money spent on coffee To be minimised
Price of each cup of Coffee To be minimised

After understanding the question, now action mode.
maximum of 24 cups of Tea with Rs.600, this implies we cannot buy 25 cups, so price has to be a minimum of Rs.24.01 and a maximum of Rs.25
As we have to take the minimum value for this, take 24.01
maximum of 15 cups of coffee for Rs.1000, so as we cannot buy 16 cups, price should be more than 1000/16 and a maximum of 1000/15.
As this value also has to be minimised take the value as slightly(even 0.01) more than 1000/16.

So, 8 cups of coffee costs slightly(even one rupee is ok) more than 1000*8/16 = Rs.500, take Rs.501 for better understanding.
Now we are left with Rs.1700, or to be precise slightly less than that, even one rupee less than that is OK
With Rs.1699 one can buy, 1699/24.01 = 70 cups of Tea.
