Normally, letter series will be simply based on differences and multiplication.
Rarely, there will be other logics for letter series.
This is one such example, here all the letters are first letters of months.
J for January, F for Feb, M for March, A for April , M for May and so on.
The missing letters are F,A, J

the 12 letters are nothing but the starting letters of the months
i.e
JAN-J,FEB-F,MAR-M,APR-A,MAY-M,......OCT-O,NOV-N,DEC-D;

so the missing letters are
