Sum of missing page numbers = 5050-4949 = 101
Original Page numbers are (1,2),(3,4),...(99,100). Each set has an odd total. And none of them equals 101. So, there must be atleast three pages missing. There are many solutions in this case, like (1,2),(3,4),(45,46); or (1,2), (5,6),(43,44) and so on. So, atleast three pages must be missing. And one such example is (11,12),(13,14),(25,26)

no other combination is possible.

Three leaves are such that the sum of odd numbers on pages will be 49.

If x, y z are odd page numbers,

then sum of missing page numbers = x+x+1+y+y+1+z+z+1 = 5050-4949=101

2*(x+y+z) = 98

x+y+z=49

Any triplets of x,y,z (odd values ) satisfying above eqn will give missing page numbers.
