let their ages are 9x,15x and 25x respectively.
difference between the ages of Patrick and Monica = 25x-9x=16x where
49x=147 or x=3
so diff in ages = 16x=16*3=48 yrs

let age of patrick, Michael and Monica be x, y and z respectively
x:y=3:5
y:z=3:5
x:y:z = 9:15:25
given x+y+z=147
so x= 9*147/(9+15+25)= 9*147/49= 9*3=27
similarly z=75
difference= 75-27= 48

The difference between ages of monika and pratik is 48.
The common person given in ratio is Michael so, make his part equal for both ratios. to make them equal,
3*(3:5) & 5*(3:5) so, parts for Pratik, Michael, & Monika are 9x,15x,25x respectively.
Diffrence between age of Pratik and monika is 25-9=16x.
Now, sum of their ages =147 Therefore, (9+15+25)x=147
49x=147
x=3
So, the diffrence between their ages=16x=16*3=48
