ans=2^(6-1)=32

if A is in extreme left only 1 possible arrangements
ABCDEF
if A is 2nd from left 5 possible arrangements
BACDEF (B is in left of A)
CABDEF (B in right, C in left)
DABCEF (B,C in right, D in left)
EABCDF (B,C,D in right, E in left)
FABCDE (B,C,D,E in right, F in left)
similarly if A is 3rd from left 10 such possibilities
other positions of A will repeat those values
So ans=2*(1+5+10)=32

it should be 240 ways as given A should be against B. then there will be 5 seats on one side and one seat on the other side there for number of combinations on 5 seats and 5 members is 120 and on the other side there is possibility of 2 members so total number of ways is 240

First we have to arrange A, there is 1 method for it, for second person B, there are 2 methods one left and one right, for third 2 methods are there same as for B similarly for others, so total number of methods = 1*2*2*2*2*2 = 32

i think its answer should be 144
as the places of D,B,A,C are adjacent so total combinations taking them as a single unit are 3!
and their permutations are 4!
so 3!*4*=144
