let no of men as m, women as w and children as c.
3m+2w+0.48c=500 ----- I equation
m+w+c=500 -------II equation
solve I and II, get
1.52c=500+m, put least possible values for c and m, so that condition satisfy
try c=350 and m=32.
use this values in equ II, get w=118.
now check ur equ I, it will satisfy.
Therefore ans is men=32, women=118, children=350
