let original no. of men be x
x men can do in 10 days,so one man can do in 10*x days
now 10 men are reduced so, (x-10) men can do in (10+10=20 days),so one man can do in 20*(x-10)days
equate work of one man
10x=20(x-10)
or x=2x-20
or x=20 men

then use the formulae = M1*D1*H/W1 = M2*D2*H2/W2
here M1 = 'x'
D1 = '10'
M2= 'x-10'
D2 = '10+10=20'
SUBSTITUTE THE VALUES IN FORMULAE WE GET 10x = (x-10)*20
x = '20'

1 man's 1 days work is =1/10X------eqa 1
(X-10)men-20days
(X-10)*20 can complete the work in 1 day
1 men 1 days work=1/(X-10)*20------eqa2
on equating both equations we get the value of X as 20

work= no.of men*days
so, take no.of men=X
work=X*10 days............(1)
in both cases work is same so,
10 men reduced=(X-10)
it takes more 10 days=> 10+10=20 days
work=(X-10)*20
=20X-200.....(2)
work is always same
so 1st equation =2nd equation
10X=20X-200
10X=200
X=20
so answer is 20 men
