NOTE:- There is no special technique for all the questions. Every question is different from other.
You will have to develop that very logic (the one EVERYONE IS asking) while solving the question.

HAPPY LEARNING

Well there's a bit of Hit and trial and some logic that help us crack these kind of questions.
In this one simply put C=1 , and perform hit and trial for D+E in last column. As you perform hit and trial keep sure you fill the values wherever the letter is repeated (e.g R in this case).

You will eventually end up getting an answer.

4 9 3 0 6
8 3 5 6 7
------------------
1 3 2 8 7 3

Hence ans is 1+3+2+8+7+3= 24
