3x=4y;x=4/3(y)
4x:5y=4(4/3(y)):5y=16:15

given that 3 leaps of dog is equal to 4 leaps of hare.so for Dog let 1 leap(D) be =20units,for Hare 1 leap(H) be 15m.So 3D=4H=60m.
as time is constant (V is directly propotional to D)
So dog takes 4leaps(i.e.4*20=80m) and hare takes 5 leaps(i.e.5*15=75m)..so ratio of speed of dog/hare=80/75=16/15

speed of hare:speed of dog=15:16

correct answer=16:15
suppose dogs is =x
suppose hare leaps=y
accourding to the question
4 x :5y=? ....(1)
givn 3 x=4 y ...(2)
x=4 y:3..(3)
put the value 3 in equation 1
we get 16:15.
