lets each one got x bullets .
so total no of bullets= 3x.
a/c to question each person used 4 bullets each one has remains with x-4 bullets.
so (x-4)3=x.
x=6.
so total no of bullets =3x =3*6 =18.

let "x" was d initial no. of bullets
each got x/3
each fired 4,so total fired bullets=4*3=12
x-12=x/3
x=18

if x,y&z are the 3 people, A is the the no of bullets shared eualy.
X=Y=Z=A.
tn each of them fired 4 bullets,and remaining bullets with them is
(X-4),(Y-4),(z-4)
tn this above sum is equal to initial share mean "A" value.
tn we can write
(A-4)+(A-4)+(A-4)=A (bcz: starting X=Y=Z=A)
2A=12
A=6
ans:6

18 is the correct ans.... let each share is x,
then... (4.3) + x = 3.x
x=6,
total initial bullets 3.6=18
