let wt. of one metal be x gm then wt. of 2nd =(18-x)gm
price of 1st metal= 7.2 rs/gm
price of 2nd metal= y rs/gm

x*7.2 + (18-x)*y=74 .....(1)
(18-x)*7.2 + x*y=60.1 ....(2)
adding (1) & (2)
=> 18*7.2+18y=74+60.1
=> y= .25
from(1), 7.2*x+(18-x)*(.25)=74 => x=10

wt of 1st metal = 10 gm
wt of 2nd metal =(18-10)= 8 gm

rakesh 74 is in rs and 60.1 is in paise.how can u add them without changing unit..
