(35-15)%=20% failed in first subject but passed second,
(42-15)%=27% failed in second subject but paased first.
(35-15)%+(42-15)%=47%,who failed or passed in either in 1 sub or in another,and is=1175.

candidates failed in both subjects=15% of 2500=375,
candidates who passed in both subject,is=100%-(47+15)%=38% of 2500=950.

subject one failed candidates are 35/100*2500=875

subject two failed candidates are 42/100*2500=1050

Both the subject failed candidates are 15/100*2500=375

Both Subject passed candidates

=2500-(875+1050-375)
=2500-1550
=950

Total Failed candidates are
=875+1050-375
=1550

Either subject one or subject two passed candidates are
=1550-375
=1125

if 35 failed in A and 42 in B and 15 in both
those failing in A or B but not in A and B is
p(Au(notB))+p((notA)uB)=p(a)+p(b)-2p(AnB)
=42+35-30
=47%
1175
