i guess we should consider then in the form of triangle..then we get distance between them between 500 to 600..

the amswer can be between 400m to 600.if three lies on same line like
C A B,where 400 comes around or A B C,where 600 comes.

d(AC)=d(AB)+d(BC)= 100+500 = 600 m

those options r not valid for all conditions.
because if A,B,C are on a straight line then the distance between A and C is may be minimum 400m or maximum 600m

can we take pythagoras theorem,AC^2=AB^2+BC^2(ie) Taking square root of 100^2+500^2.we get the answer between 500 and 600

it should be cccccc
because either they can be in a straight line...then BC=600m
OR
they can be in a triangle AC²=AB²+BC²
AC≈509m

if A,B,C colinear, then either B_A___C or A_B_____C, minimum 400 and maximun 600..
but why everybody says between 500 and 600, i dont know..
all of you consider a triangle..then how you get the information that it is a rightangle triangle??? u all use the formula AC^2=AB^2+BC^2, but how you came to know that there is a 90 degree angle???

so, this approach is completly wrong..

if ABC are in straight line and B is in middle of A and C then ans is 100+500=600m
in all the other conditions options are not matching so ans is 600m.
