let the labelled price of T.V. be Rs.x
hence amount in terms of 20% discount= 20x/100
amount in terms of 25% discount=25x/100

so, (25x/100)-(20x/100)=500

on solving this we get x=RS.10,000 which is labelled price of the T.V.

hence he is buying with 20% discount on labelled so, 10,000-(10,000*20%)=Rs.8,000

=> 5%=500
=> 1%=100
therefore 80%=100*80=8000

Let SP of tv =Rs 100
If SP of tv is Rs80, MP=Rs100
If SP is Rs100, MP= Rs(100/80)*100=Rs125
Now if discount= 25%
Sp=75%of125=RS375/4
Differnce between two selling price=Rs(100-375/4)=RS25/4
If difference is 25/4, selling price is 100
If difference is 500, selling price is (100*4/25*500)=RS 8000

let the initial price be Rs.100.
so Rs.80 is cost price for that T.V.
With 25% discount he might get it for Rs.75.
the change is Rs.5 and is equal to 5%.so 500 is 5%.

5*20=100.each five constitute 5% for 100%.
500*20=10000.

Let the lebelled price be x rs. so he bought it with 4x/5 rs. If he had bought with 25% then the price would be 3x/5 rs.
4x/5 - 3x/5 = 500
x=2500 so he bought it with (2500*4)/ 5 = 2000 rs

let cost-price = c.p.
according to the first condition cost price will be cp-cp*20/100=4cp/5
and according to the 2nd condition cost price will be-cp-cp*25/100=3cp/4
so equation will be4cp/5-3cp/4=500,
16cp-15cp/20=500
therefore cp=Rs.10,000

Tarun buy the tv =x-(x*20/100)=80x/100
if he buy with 25% discount the buying price =75x/100
so
75x/100-80x/100=500
x=10000
buying price=80*10000/100=8000
