each student get at least one pencil so distribute 4 pencil to 4 student so that each get 1.
remaining 10-4=6 pencils have to distribute in 4 students so that one gets 0,1 or 2 pencil
no. of ways = (n+r-1)C(r-1)
here, n=6 & r=4

so, no. of ways = (6+4-1)C(4-1) = 9C3 = 9C6 = 84

each student gets at least 1 therefore pencils left for distribution=6
6 pencils can be distributed to 4 students in 6C4 ways.
=>15 ways.
