Ann's brother is Neil John(1*3=3); Mary 's brother Sam paul(2*4=8); Rose's brother John Brown(3*1=3); Lisa's Brother is TIm Smith(4*2=8);1+2+3+4+3+8+3+8=32

Total marbles 32, ann gets 1, mary gets 2 rose gets 3 and lisa gets 4.
further john brown gets as much as his sister
2(tim smith)= gets as much as his sister
3(neil johnson)= gets as much as his sister
4 (sam paul)= gets as much as his sister
now putting the marbles value of ann marry rose and lisa to get total of 32 marbles we get 4,1,2,3 i.e 4=4(sum=8),2*1=1( sum=3), 3*2=2(sum=8), 4*3=3(sum=15), we get a total sum=8+3+8+15=32 therefore Lisa->brown, ann->smith, m-> john, rose->paul

32-(1+2+3+4)=22
now, (1*3)+(2*4)+(1*3)+(4*2)=22
hence, johnson, paul, brown, smith

how do you relate the sister with brother??
they didnt mention that the sum is 32!!! then why did you assume it as 32??

32-(1+2+3+4)=22 marbles are to be distributed among bros.
(4*2)+(3*1)+(2*4)+(1*3)=22
paul->mary,johnson->ann,smith->lisa,brown->rose

Jar initially contains =18, 3 removed 18-3=15.
one ball is to be selected so x%15=1%5
x=3
3+3=6
