total person=p
1/8 person are absent of total person . so absent person is 1/8p ie p/8.
left person is, p-p/8=7p/8.

p person do the work 100%

1 person do the work 100*p%

7p/8 person do the work (100*p*8)/7p%=114.28%



work increased for each person is=(114.28-100)%=14.28% (ans)

Work :: 1/persons
Work = 8/7
Excess work 1 - 8/7 = 14.28 or 1/7

work increased for each person=(1/8)/(p-p/8)=1/7p

Let the total work be "w"

then A/c

work load per person = w/p
now when 1/8 of 'p' are absent ,then
new work load per person = (w )/(p-p/8)
i.e. 8w/7
Increased work load= (new work load) - (old work load )
=w/(7p) OR 1/7 of old work load

The answer will be:-
800/(p-8)%
let each person has 100% work.
If 8 person absent then increased work will be 800% and it should be divided in (p-8) person
therefore, increased work per person will be 800/(p-8)%

1/8 of the absent person has to be done by the remaining seven colleagues, then (1/8) / 7 = 1/56
