total 3 trousers in that,
no of black trousers =1
total shirts=4
no of black shirts=1
therefore,possibilty of picking trouser is black= 1/3
probability of choosen shirt is not black=1-1/3=2/3
possibilty of picking shirt is black=1/4
possibilty of picking shirt is not black=1-1/4=3/4
neither of them is black is =(2/3)*(3/4)=1/2
so answer is 1/2

prob (not getting black trouser) = (1- 1/3) = 2/3
prob(getting black shirt) = 1/4
prob(not getting black shirt) = (1-1/4)=3/4
req. prob = (2/3)(3/4)=1/2

2/3 is the probability for picking blue,brwn from 3 trusers
3/4 is prob of picking 3 white out of 4 shirts
total prob = 2/3*3/4=1/2
prob of not picking black is 1-1/2=1/2

here it is asking for trouser pair..so if we make combination of trouser then (black,blue) (blue,brown) (brpwn,black)
so probablity that trouser is not black is (1/3)
probablity that shirt is not black is(3/4)
final answer: (1/3)*(3/4)=(1/4)
