size of s will be 4 (host H1,hostess H2,a1,a2)... 17 people=8*2+1
in each set, possible handshakes are (h1a1,h1a2,h2a1,h2a2,a1a2 and h1h2)=4c2=6
no of sets are 9.i.e (8+1) in 9th set persons are (H1,H2 and a17).in this set possible handshake=3c2= 3 (h1h2,h1a17,h2a17) plus one more handshake (a17a1)
so total handshake= 8*6 +3+1=52

Answer is 3
Set S will be comprised of handshakes between host and hostess,b/w host and invitees and b/w hostess n invitees.
