it can be arranged in 6 ways

2 flags are remaining and as it is given that 3 poles can have any no. of flags therefore
3p2=3!/(3-2)!
=3*2=6 ways

if first pole have 2 flag then v have (5-2)=3 flags remaining.
now,if third pole have 1 flag then v have (3-1)=2 flags remaining.

so 2 flags can be arranged in 2! ways..ie-->2

1st pole have 2 flag
3rd pole have 1 flag

remaining flag is 2:
**any number of flag can be accommodated on any single pole

-if 2nd flag have 0 means
that 2 flag can accommodated in either 1 or 3.or each has 1-->here possibility that 2 flag is arranged in 3 ways

-if 2nd flag have 2 means-->possibility of 2 flad arranged in 1 way

-if 2nd have 1 means-->either 1 or 3rd has 1 flag-->possibility is 2 ways


total possibilty is 6 ways..
3p2=3!/(3-2)!
=3*2=6 ways

If the first pole has 2 flags,third pole has 1 flag...
so the remaining flags are 2.
the remaining pole is 1.
So it can be arranged in 2 ways.....

hi nithiyadevi, i can't understand how it becomes.pls explain step by step

-if 2nd flag have 0 means

since color of the flags have not been given. so it can be solved in two ways. considering flags are of the different colors or same colors.
with former, 2 flags are remaining for 3 poles so it can be arranged in 3^2 i.e 9 ways. in later case, it can be arranged in 3 ways.
