A- Can be answered using one of the statements but not the other

we have to find the value of (12c-36g)

(1) The cost of 12 Cows and 36 Goats is Rs 1200
12c + 36g = 1200 => c+3g=100
from this we can't find the value (12c-36g)

(2)If the cost of cows is doubled, then Cost of 12Cows will be Equal to 72 Goats
12*(2c)=72*g
=> 12c = 36g
=> (12c-36g) = 0

statement 2 is alone sufficient to find the value of (12c-36g)

Option - A
As in 2nd stm. assume cost of cow as 'c' and goat as 'g' now acc. to stm.
12(2c) = 72g
12c = 36g
12c - 32g = 0
which is the required answer.
so it can be solved using statement 2 alone.

12x+36y=1200 or x of 12 =100-3y
12×2(100-3y)=72y or 2400=144y
Y=200/12=50/3
X=50
Cost of 12=600
Cost of 36=50/3×36=600
Difference 0

this means C+3G=100 - 1
cost is doubled
C1=2C then 12C1=72G -2
C1=6Gbut C1=2C therefore
2C=6G
C=3G
C-3G=0
(C-3G)*12=12C-36G=0
hence oply A

by statement 2, let the cost of cows are x, and cost of goats are y....if the cost of cows become double then,
12*2x = 72y,
x = 3y
x-3y = 0 , now multiplyng wth 12,
12x-36y = 0....(required ans can be found with statement 2 alone, statement 1 is not sufficient alone)...so, the ans is "A"...

Answer : C

Statement 1:
12C + 36G = 1200
C+3G = 100
C=100-3G

Statement 2:
12*2*C = 72G
C=3G

Using (1) and (2)

6G = 100
G= 100/6 or 50/3
C= 3*50/3 = 50

Now see the difference in the cost of the two:

12C - 36G
12*50 - 36*(50/3) = 0
Hence C is correct
