Total time = 3+3600/120 = 3+30 = 33 secs

speed = 120km/hr
enter a tunnel,, means that the train covers a distance equal to its own length
so (120*5/18)=x/3 where x= length of train
hence x= 100 mtrs
to pass completely train has to travel a distance =(x + tunnel length) that is 1100mtrs
so (1100/t)=(120*5)/18
t= 33 sec(ANSWER)

Length of the train = (120*3/3600)*1000 m = 100m
To completely pass through the tunnel, distance covered = 100 + 1000 + 100 = 1200m = 1.2 km
Therefore, time = 1.2/120 hr = 1/100 hr = 3600/100 sec = 36 sec Ans.

given distance=1km
speed=120km/hr
so,time taken to see outside of the tunnel is 1/120/1hr=1/120 hrs=30secs
the whole train takes 3 more secs so, 30+3=33secs..

speed of train = 120 km/hr ==> (300/9)m/sec.
length of train (300/9)*3 ==>100m

time taken by train to pass completely tunnel= (length of tunnel +length of train)/speed of train

(1000+100)/(300/9)= 33 sec.

total distance to be travelled =1100m with speed 120km/h
time=33 sec

the length of train=3*100/3=100m
distance=100+1000=1100m
speed=100/2 mps
time=distance/speed=1100*3/100=33sec
