The highest scorer scored a total of 90 marks in all subjects put together. Mala got 13 in Maths and Miralini 10 in Science. Malathi’s total was less than Mala’s. Malini is one of these 5 students. Madhuri got as many marks as Miralini. None got 20 marks in any subject. Who scored the highest total in all these subjects put together?

Definetly option A. MALINI
from given instructions, i) MALA has got more marks dan malathi. so option c canceled
ii) Left wid 3 options, in which mrinalini got 10 in science. So if we assume she is the topper den she has to score 20 in ol oda subjects to get 90. Which is not possibl acc to d problem. thus option D canceled
iii) Madhuri got same marks as mrinalini, thus option B olso got cancelld
so d only option left is A. MALINI

option A.
becoz no one got 20 out of 20 in any subject. so mala got 13 in maths means 7 marks + 4(max for other subject)=11 means she is not the toper...malathi < mala so she is also out. now Miralini got 10 marks in science so...max marks she can get is 86(100-10-4),so she is not..same goes for Madhuri...so left option is Malini.
