1)total no letters can form by using hardware= 8!/2!2! b,coz A and R are repeating 2 times
2)vowels comes together=6!*3!/2!*2!
vowels not coming together=(8!/2!*2!)-(6!*3!/2!*2!)

The given word contains 8 letters
Taking vowels (AAE) together, we treat them as one letter.
Then the letters to be arranged in 6!/2!=360 (2! because R is repeated twice)
The vowels can be arranged among themself in 3!/2!=3 (2! because A is repeated twice)
No of words each having vowels together 360*3=1080
total no words formed from the word HARDWARE is 8!/2!2!=10080
no of words each having vowels never together is 10080-1080=9000
so the final answer is 9000

Taking vowels together and assuming them as 1 letter
H R D W R ( A A E )
6 letters can be arranged in 6! =720 ways
3 vowels can be arranged in (3!/2!)=3 ways
Total no. of ways where vowels are together=3*720=2160
8 letters can be arranged among themselves in 8!=40320 ways
Hence, total no. of ways where vowels never come together = 40230-2160=38160

In HARDWARE==>>Vowels are A,A,E and reaming are 5 lettres,
5 can be arranged in 5!/2! ways and in 6 places 3 vowels can be arranged in 6c3/2!
therefore==>>> 60*10=600 i think

there are 'r' and 'a' are repeated 2 times so hardware can be arranged in 8!/2!*2! =10080 ways
vowels come together is hrdrw(aae) an be arranged in 6!/2!(3!/2!)=1080
vowels do not come together is 10080-1080=9000

There are three vowel letters i.e A A E
in that letter 'A' is repeated so leave it take it as only one time
now A and E are not coming together
