50%of 3,00,000 literate - so 1,50,000 literate
70% of 1,80,000 literate -so 1,26,000 male literates , so rest s

Total=3,00,000
Male=1,80,000
So,
Female=1,20,000

50% population is literate i.e. 1,50,000 is literate people..

70%male are literate
i.e. 1,80,000*70/100 = 1,26,000
So,literate male are 1,26,000

Total literate=male literate+female literate
1,50,000=1,26,000+female literate

so, literate female=24,000

150000-126000=24000.

Total population = 300000
Total number of males = 180000
Total Literates = 50% of total population = 150000
Number of literate males = 70% of males = 126000
∴ Number of literate females = 150000 - 126000 = 24000
