george 1 day work=1/15
let pau 1 day work be 1/x
work to be done=1-3/5=2/5
then,a/c
4(1/15+1/x)=2/5
=>x=30
i.e:- 3)30

gorge: does 3/5 th in 9 days
in 1 day he can do 1/15
so in 4 days he can do =4/15
:. total work done by gorge =3/5+4/15=13/15

work left= 1-13/15=2/15

which is done by paul in 4 days so paul can do 2/15*4 in 1 day=1/30
:. paul will take 30 days to do the job himself

George does 3/5 work in 9 days..
So his 1 day's work=3/(9*5)=1/15

Rest of work=1-3/5=2/5
2/5 work is done by them in 4 days..
so in 1 day work is=2/(5*4)=1/10

Work done only by paul=1/10-1/15=1/30

i.e Paul himself done the work in 30 days...Ans

George can do 1/15 of work in 1 day,
let Paul do 1/p in 1 day,

9*1/15+4*(1/15+1/b)=1

1/b=1/30 means Paul can do 1/30 work in a day so he can finish
work in 30 days

g can do it in=3/5*1/9=1/15
g+p=1/4*2/5=1/10
p=1/10-1/15=1/30
so p can do it in 30 days

Let total job=1; Gorge do 3/5 in 9 days.then in one day he can complete 3/9*5=1/15.then in 4 days he do 5/15.after completion of george the task remain 1-3/5=2/5.then paul do in 4 days=,(2/5)-(4/15)=2/15...then the total task will be completed in 4*15/2=30 days

George will take 15 days to do the work alone (3/5x =9days)
remaining work =1 - 3/5 = 2/5
George will take 45/2 days to do the remaining work alone
both can do it in 4 days
Paul can do it alone in 1/4 - 2/45 (reciprocal)
180/38 for 2/5 part
for complete work = (180*5)/(38*2)=11.8 days

in 4 day paul completes 6/45 work so 30 days for whole work

George (3/5)x -->9. so,complete work(x) in 15days
george+paul 1-(3/5)=2/5 work in 4 days.both can do complete work in 10 days.
(1/15)+(1/p)=1/10 ,p=30
paul can complete it in 30 days alone

let Paul do 1/p in 1 day,

9*1/15+4*(1/15+1/b)=1

1/b=1/30 means Paul can do 1/30 work in a day so he can finish
work in 30 days

George 1 day work is (3/5)/9 = 1/15.
Total work is 1. Remaining work is 1-3/5=2/5.
George and Paul on day work is 1/10.
Paul one day work is 1/30.
So total work completed by Paul in 30 days
Ans is 30.

1 day wrk=3/(5*9)=1/15work
now
remaining work=1-3/5=2/5work
george+paul 4days work=2/5
4(1/15+x)=2/5
x=1/30 work
total days teken by paul=30 days

if 3/5th of the work done in 9 days
then remaining 2/5th can be done in 6 days..total work will be completed in 6+9=15 days..
given,
he and paul finished the work in 4days,if the work is done by the george only he takes-6days..
so remaining 2 days work done by paul..
4days work of george=2days work of paul...therefore his efficiency is 1/2..
he can complete the 15 days of work in 30 days....
