Rectangle area : Length X Breadth

Length=400 , Breadth=300

So, area in sq.feet is 400 x 300 = 120000

Ants per inch = 3

we have to convert area into sq.inches..

Area in sq.inches is 120000 x 12 x 12= 17280000

No. of ants in the field is 17280000 x 3 = 51840000 (approx. 50 million)

=(10^4*3*12*4*12)*3

l=400,b=300 feet
area=120000feet=120000*12 inches=1440000 inches

Area of rect is 300*400=120000 sq ft.. Convert it into inches...
120000*12=1440000 sq inches. Nw since in a each sq inch 3 ants reside . then no of ants in total area is 1440000/3= 500000.(app).. So and A is correct
