ratio given at present age = 3:11
can be written as 3x/11x
where 3x -> age of sohini
11x -> age of her mother

11x-3x = 24
=>x=3
so the present age is
sohini = 3*3=9
her mother = 11*3 = 33

after 3 years the ratio will be
(9+3)/(33+3) = 12/36 = 1/3
ratio will be 1:3

11x-3x=24
8x=24
x=3
age of Sohini=9
age of her mother=33
after 24 yrs the ratio will be 9+24:33+24=11:19
