actual ques...
ABCD is a rectangle , P & Q are the two points on AD & BC respectively.
x is another point on AB .
Now what is the ratio of ar(PQCD)/ar(xcd)...???

i) P is mid point on AD & Q is mid point on BC
ii) AB= 4 * XB

and ans is only (i) is required

both statement is required to find this ratio because
1 statement only gives the area of pqcd not the area of xcd(for area of xcd,we have to find distance between x and a or b)
2 statement gives distance between x and a or b...hence both stst required

both statement are require
a statement clear area of pqcd i.e area of abcd/2
b statement also clear x position and gives
xd = root(ad^2 + xa^2)
xc = root(xb^2+bc^2)
s(semiperimeter of xcd) = (xd + xc + cd)/2
now we can calc area of xcd therefore anc is C

i) P is mid point on AD & Q is mid point on BC
ii) AB= 4 * XB

Ans:- a

Area of rectangle formed by PQCB is PQ*CQ
Area of triangle formed by XCB is (1/2)BC*AB
Here PQ=BC=AD; XN=AB=CD;
so the ratio PQCB:XCB=1:1
