s = 5 fixed and a = 6 fixed we cannot change consider numbers 0 to 9 in that two numbers are eliminated
so we have 7 numbers still

In addition when we get to carry in the last part of the addition we write two numbers together in the same way here also G and I are together by adding W and 1 as carrying so we have 7 numbers with us in them by taking carry as 1 and 9 = w only we get two digit number so we consider w = 9 and G = 1 I = 0
now we have only 4 numbers in them I = 0 we got so by adding I +L = we get T value but T value should match with s = 5 means by adding T +L we should get 5 as s value that means we have 4 values in which if we take l = 7 and t = 8 then only the possibility of getting s = 5 is possible

as A=6 nd S=5 so
WAIT= 9608 and ALL=677 so GIFTS=10285 so G+I+F+T=11 n its correct
