in 1hr, Ronald=32/6 elan=40/5
if they work together=32/6+40/5=40/3
time need to do assignment is=3*110/40=33/4=8hr 15min

Answer is C. 8:15 min
ronald 1 hour page =32/6
elan 1 hr page =40/5
(r+s) 1 hr page will =32/6+40/5 = 40/3
110 page will complete time is =110/(40/3)
8:25
i.e 8 hr and 0.25 hr {0.25hr =(1/4)th of an hour=(1/4)th of 60=15 minutes}
There fore ans. is " C" and not "D "

Total pages they both type together in 1 hour-13.3 pages
So 110 pages they can type in-110/(40/3)=8h 15 min

Number of pages typed by Ravi in 1 hour =32/6= 16/3
Number of pages typed by Kumar in 1 hour = 40/5 = 8
Number of pages typed by both in 1 hour = ( 16/3 + 8 ) = 40/3 .
Therefore Time taken by both to type 110 pages = ( 110 x 3/40 ) hours
= 8 hours 15 minutes.
