The extra 2.5 kg is obtained because of 20 reduction in price i.e. 20% of 160 = 32 rs.
Reduced price 1 kg = 32/2.5 = 12.80 rs.
So answer is 12.80 rs.
And original price :-
20% reduction price means you pay 80% of the original price
80% of original price = 12.80 rs/kg
100% of o.p. =16 rs/kg.

Answer is option c)12.80

2.5 kg for 160
then the price of 1 kg sugar is 160/2.5=64
20% of 64 is 12.80
so the previous price was 64+12.80=76.80

here given information is he buys for 160/-.take x as original prize.
160/x-160/(80%x)=2.5kg;
solving this we can get x as 16.
given prize is reduced to 20%.
so,80/100*16=12.80.
