x-y=1365
divide larger number by the smaller, we get 6 as quotient and the 15 as remainder
x/y=6 quotient and 15 reminder convert this as
x=6y+15
apply this x in above eqn
therefore,
6y+15-y=1365
5y+15=1365
y+3=273
y=270
so ans is b)270.

Take x as larger number and y as smaller, then form the equations from the details given as,
x-y=1365----------(1)
x=6y+15------------(2)
solve the two equations
we get y=270
so b is the answer

x-y=1365............(1)
we can write x= y+ 1365
x=6y+15...(2)
substitute in 2
y+1365 = 6y +15
1365=5(y+3)
273-3=y
y =270

Let us consider the two numbers are a and b,
a-b=1365.....(1)
divide larger number by the smaller, we get 6 as quotient and the 15 as remainder;
a=bQ+R;
substitute the values Q=6,R=15;
a=6b+15......(2)
substitute 2 in 1
6b+15-b=1365
5b=1350
b=270
hence small number is 270.
