The digits in 214635 are 1,2,3,4,5,6

For an even number, the last digit must be an even number.

Starting from 6th digit,
6th digit can have 2,4 or 6 => 3 numbers
5th digit can have any of remaining numbers => 5 numbers possible
4th digit can have the any of the remaining numbers => 4 numbers possible
3rd digit => 3 numbers possible
2nd digit => 2 numbers possible
1st digit => 1 number possible

Therefore, 3*5*4*3*2*1 = 360 numbers possible

for 6 digit even number...
in unit place always 2,4,6 will come..rest of place we can fill any given number, so
solution will be - 5*4*3*2*1*3 = 360.

for tenth place 5 digit.....
for next place 4 digit

so total numbers=3*5*4*3*2*1=360

at the end of the no. we can place only 2,4 and 6.
in case of 2
we have total 6 nos in which we have to fix 2 at the end place or unit place
remaining nos can be arranged in 5! way
similarly in case of 4 and 6.
then 5!=120.
we have 3 case
hence 120*3=360.
a) 360 is the right answer

a number is even if its last digit end with with (0,2,4,6,8).in this case last digit should be 2,4or 6.by using principle of counting first digit can be filled by 5 no. now second by 4 and it goes like that
i.e 5*4*3*2*1*3=360

very easy there is six palce ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----
so last digit can fill with 2,4,or 6 so last digit is 3 ways
so one place is fill now first place can fill 5 ways and then 4 ,3,2,1
so ans is 5 *4*3*2*1*3 =360
