3-1=2, 8-3=5 now add ...and so on........
just see the above pattern ....... 3-1=2, 8-3=5 now do 2+5=7 it will give you the next no. which you have to add in the upper line and do the calculation ....your answer will be... 46 :)

diff between numbers 1 and 3 is 2 ,3 and 8 is 5. now differences are added 2+5=7 which is the diff b/w 8 and 15. so answer is 46

1+3=4+4=8
8+3=11+4=15
15+8=23+4=27
27+15=42+4=46 (ans)

1+3= 4 then 4+4=8
8+3=11 nd again 4 is addae to the sum i.e 11+4=15
similarly 8+15= 23 nd again 4 is added to it 23+4= 27
and the last 15+27= 42 nd 4 is added to it so the next no will be 42+4= 46

3-1=2
8-3=5
15-8=7(which is sum of above 2+5)
27-15=12(which is sum of 5+7)
so next number should be with diffrnce (7+12=19)
27-x=19
x=46

Differences:
2 5 7 12
1+2=3
3+5=8
8+7=15(sum of previous two differences)
15+12=27
27+19=46

the given series is 1,3,8,15,27
difference between first two terms ie, 3-1=2
likewise 8-3=5
15-8=7
27-15=12
sum of previous two differences added to the number gives the next number in the series

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SERIES IS :

Diffrnc b/w 1 & 3 = 2
Diffrnc b/w 3 & 8= 5
Diffrnc b/w 8 & 15=7
Diffrnc b/w 15 & 27= 12
Series 2 +5=7 ;5+7=12; 7+12=19
19added with 27 ...so ans will be
19+27= 46 .......
