14 persons take coffee but not tea.

As per the qn., out of 30 persons totally 16 take tea.
So, 30-16 = 14 (Remaining are take coffee)

No. of persons who take only tea=9
Total No. of persons who take tea =16
So , nO. Of persons taking both coffee & tea=16-9=7..(assuming that every person has to take atleast 1 of the two)
...So T=people taking only tea
TC=people taking both
C=people taking only coffee ; N=Total people
Clearly , T+TC+C=N
...so C=N-T-TC=30-9-7=14
hENCE aNSWER is 14.....

5 bcz in total of 30 9 take only tea but not coffee then 30-9=21
and 16wil take coffee or tea then 21-16=5

answer would be 7.because 16-9=7
9 of them take tea but not coffee and total is 16.

total persons = 30
7 take tea and 9 take tea and coffee
means remaining 14 take coffee
otherwise the answer is zero since nothing was described about the remaining 14 persons

group of persons, X = 30
total no. of persons who take tea only, Y = 16
Therefore,
person whose take coffee not tea is , Z = X-Y
= 30 - 16
= 14

If every person in the group has to take atleast one thing tea or coffee, then 14 persons takes cofee but not tea.7 persons take both tea and coffee. 9 persons take tea but not coffee.

tea=9
Tea + coffie= 16
coffie= remaining 5
i.e.., 30-(16+9)=5
