80l of milk
1/4 of 100l=25l
that is 5 l of water and 20l of milk
water left in mixture 15l
milk left in mixture 60l
he adds 25l of water again this gives us 15l+25l of water and 60l of milk
40l:60l
which is 2:3 the new ratio

water=20l and milk=80 l

total mixture=100 l

ratio of water:milk=1:4

ATQ, after selling 1/4 of 100l = 25l

remaining mix =75l (water= 15l & milk =60l)

he adds water to replenish the quantity he sold..so water added=25l

therefore total water = (15+25)l =40l

now , water:milk= 40:60

ans: 2:3

@ Amrit Bhagat, we need to find propotion of water 2 milk n wht u had told is milk 2 water

Hence answer is 3:2 n nt 2:3
