As on earth, hour hand covers the dial twice every day. Find the approximate angle between the hands of clock on Oz when time is 15.40 am.

36hrs a day that means the clock will be of 18hrs.
angle between each hour=360/18=20
thus for 15 am.. angle=15*20=300
now each hour is of 90 min.=20deg
so,1min=2/9deg deflection of the hour hand.
so for 40min the small hand(hour) will be displaced by 40*2/9=8.89deg=9deg(approx)
so total angle of the small hand=9+300=309deg
now for the minute hand 90min=360deg
thus 1min=4deg
so 40min=40*4=160 deg
so angle when time is 15.40 is 309-160=149deg :)

in every one hour it makes 20 degree of angle.
so when it is 15 o'clock then angle will be 15*20 = 300 degree
and for 40 min hand should be on 8 ,so the angle formed will be 8*20 = 160 degree
now when it will be 15.40 am then hand will be ahead of 15,so this angle is measured as:
in 90 min it makes 20 degree,so in 40 min it makes (20*40)/90 degree,which is almost equal to 9 degree.
so total angle made by hands is = (300-160) + 9 = 149 degree.

Number of days is irrelevant. 36 hours a day and hour hand covers dial twice every day means clock will have 36/2=18 numbers on it from 1 to 18( Just like 1 to 12 on earths clock). Total 90 min/hour means 5 min for every number. So 18*5=90min is satisfied just like on earth. Now any dial in the universe will be 360 degrees. So hours hand will cover 360/18=20 deg every 1 hour. Also this means min hand will cover 20 deg every 5 min. 15hrs means hours hand rotated 15*20=300 deg. 40 min means min hand rotated (360/90)*40=160 deg. difference is 300-160 =140 deg.

min : 60 sec 60 sec (useless)
Therefore,
clock : 12 hrs 18 hrs (per cycle)
15:40 hrs = (15*60+40) = 940 mins
In Oz, 940min = (940/90)hrs + (940%90)mins = 10:40

Deflection of Clock:
Earth clock is at 3.
(3 + 40/60) * (360/12) = 110 degree
Planet Oz.
(10 + 40/90) * (360/18) = 208.89 degree

Approximate Angle = (208.89 - 110) = 99 degree
