2:1 Ratio of daily work done by a man to that done by a boy.

Let Men = M; Boys = B;

(12M + 16B) in 5days = (13M + 24B) in 4days
(12M*5)+(16B*5) = (13M*4)+(24B*4)
60M + 80B = 52M + 96B
60M - 52M = 96B - 80B
8M = 16B
1M = 2B (Simplify)
M/B = 2/1
2:1 required ratio.

ans=2:1,
since 12 Men and 16 boy complete a work in 5 day then workdone equal to
12M+16B=1/5 (because workdone=1/Time)
then workdone equation become as 12*5M+16*5B=1
60M+80B=1
similarly 13*4m+24*4B=1
52M+96B=1
Since work is same therefore
60M+80B=52M+96B
8M=16B
MB=168
M:B=2:1
