9:1 is the ratio of milk and water in the resultant mixture.


20 liter of milk and water is in the ratio 3:2.

That means, milk = 12liters and water = 8liters.

If 10 liter of the mixture(3:2) is removed and replaced with pure milk means, We remove 6liters of milk and 4liters of water.

Remaining = 6liters of milk + 4liters of water.

On that 10liters pure milk is added. So now,

Mixture contains = (6+10)liters of milk + 4liters of water [Now, Ratio = 4:1]

Again we removed 10litres mixture in 4:1 ratio means,

Remaining = 8liters of milk + 2liters of water.

Again 10liter pure milk is added on that, so now

Mixture contains = (8+10)liters of milk + 2liters of water [Now, Ratio = 9:1]
