x=28000/28^2=35.71
cost of 15g=35.71*15^2=8035.714
cost of 13g=35.71*13^2=6035.714
total cost=14071.428
loss=28000-14071.428=13928.5=14000

let the price be P and weight be W.
thus P=kW*W where k= proportionality constant
k= 28000/28*28= 35.7
now, P1= (35.7)*13*13=6033
P2= (35.7)*15*15= 8032
thus, Loss= (P - (P1+P2))= 13934.5= aprox 14,000

the answer is approx 14000.because 28^2=784.
now we know the price is prop to square of wt.therefore 28000=k*784
k=35.714.now the two wts can be calculated 15gm and 13gm.the net price becomes 15^2*35.71+13^2*35.71=14069.64.now 28000-14069.64=13930.26 which is approx 14000

let price=p,weight=w
p=k w^2 ---------eq(1) here k is a constant taken
as it is given dat price is directly proportional to weight
given w=28,p=28000
so from eq(1),k=1000/28
now the broken pieces r 15 nd 13gm
by putting the values of w and k in eq(1) we get
p1=8035.71(for w=15)
p2=6035.71(for w=13)
total cost for broken pieces=(8035.71+6035.71)=14071.42
so the loss=(28000-14071.42)=13928.58

say 28 isdivided into 15 n 13
square both the number to bcm 225+169=394
now squaring 28 we get 784
so loss incurred 390 so ,fr 784 390 is the loss what willbe for 28000 i.e 14000

Price is directly propotional to square of the weight
So P=k*sq(w) where k=constant
P=28000
w=28gm
k=1000/28
Price of the ratio part
P1=k(15*15)
P2=k(13*13)
P1+P2=14000
loss incurred=28000-14000=14000
ans is E
