Let m be the number of male participants and f be the number of female articipants in the meeting. Thetotal number of participants is given as 750.

Hence, we have m+f= 750

Now, we have that half the female participants and one-quarter of the male participants are Democrats.
Let d equal the number of the Democrats.

Then we have the equation f/2 + m/4 =d

Now, we have that one-third of the total participants are Democrats. Hence, we have the equation

d = 750/3 = 250
Solving the three equations yields the solution

f = 250,m= 500, and d= 250.
The number of female democratic participants equals half the female participants equals
250/2 = 125.
The answer is (C).

(x/2+(750-x)/4)=750/3

given 1/3rd of participants i,e (1*750)/3=250 are democrats.
since female participants are half it is f/2.
and male participants are quarter it is m/4.
so (f/2)+(m/4)=250.
i,e 2f+m=1000.
and f+m=750.
solving we get f=250 m=500.
since female participants are f/2 i,e 250/2=125.
so ans is c 125,

125 should be d answer..
We can form 2 equations as M+F=T ie tota no of participants.
Which gives as Eq 1- M+f=750
and den as given well have 1/2(F)+1/4(M)=1/3(T)
Hence Eq 2 becomes 2F+M=1000
Solving the 2 2Eqs we get F=250 thus democrates of F=250/2=125

democrats are 1/3 from total participants=>750/3=250
in question they have asked only about female democrats so 250/2=125
because half of female participants so f/2
ans=125
