Let age of elder son = x
And age of father = 2x
Age of younger son, Y = (x-15)
After 10 years
2x+10=3(x-15+10)
2x+10=3(x-5)
3x-2x=25
x=25;Y=10;2x = 50
Father's age = 50

Let age of elder son = x
And age of father = 2x
Age of younger son, Y = (x-15)
After 10 years
2x+10=3(x-15+10)
2x+10=3(x-5)
3x-2x=25
x=25;Y=10;2x = 50
Father's age = 50

Let the age of the elder son is x
then, father's age would be 2x
Ten years hence, the father's age shall be 2x+10
and the age of the elder son would be x+10
and the age of the younger son be (2x+10)/3
Now the equation is :( difference between the ages of sons)
(x+10)-(2x+10)/3=15
solving, we get x=25
and the father's age would be 25*2=50years
