Towards this end,alok chooses a single digit number and bhanu substitutes this for a variable of her choice (X,Y and Z).Alok then chooses the next value and Bhanu, the variable to substitute the value. Leena cut small cubes of 3 cubic cm each. She joined it to make a cuboid of length 10 cm, width 3 cm and depth 3 cm. How many more cubes does she need to make a perfect cube?

Solution

volume of small cube = 3 cm^3
so its side = 3^(1/3) , it is a fractional no. so how can you make a cuboid of length 10 cm. data are wrong

A lady has fine gloves and hats in her closet- 18 blue, 32 red, and 25 yellow. The lights are out and it is totally dark. In spite of the darkness, she can make out the difference between a hat and a glove. She takes out an item out of the closet only if she is sure that it is a glove. How many gloves must she take out to make sure she has a pair of each color?

Solution

It is not given that how many of these items are gloves and how many are hats, if we consider that all the items are gloves then according to my opinion 32+25+2 = 59 gloves, she must take out to make sure she has a pair of each color.
