i hav attended tcs written on 23 rd jan ... plz prepare m4maths and campus gate thoroughly.. sme ques might repeated.,sme ques get number changed, few new question(don't wry u can able 2 solve)..

concentrate on analytical ques(29,30 ques)which carries more mark...for email writing u practice 3 r 4 email writing with in the 10 min time constraints.. i think for email category , the ques won't get repeat.. so u hve to ready for any type of email... u hav to ensure that u hav written all the phrase,salutation,name n all ... tats it...

be confident in that beca yr apps section start aft this... so u should be confident n calm aft this.. if u do email writing very well and no can stop yr performance....

written test result announced on 28 jan by mail ..i got selected...


i attended my TR,MR,HR on feb 4 th ....... i surprised that all 3 sat as a single panel.... (waiting for my results ,, hope for d best)( anyway i share my exp here... beca many ppl exp helped me lot in tcs interview)

TR:wat s yr fav sub?(I said db)
TR: (given some constraints like emp table n sal table using joins combine both the table) i drawn table n explained her... from that table she asked some particular queries(basic oly)
HR: r u team player?(i said s)
HR:explain d situation wher u performed as a team player?
HR:what are all the difficulties that u hav faced?how could u avoid it????
MR:why tcs?
(aft that MR didn't ask any ques but he s keep on monitoring me so ensure that u hav yr eye contact with him also while answering for other questions)
TR:what are all d lang u know and rate yrself
(i said c,c++ for 7 ,sql,pl/sql for 8,html n css for 8..)(I didn't put java but they asked abt java.. i said i know basic oly mam now oly learning in death)
TR:design a web page that should hav list ,combo box ,submit and clear command(written a tags clearly without striking any tags)
TR:c,c++ diff, c++ features, diff bwt function overloading and function over ridding, diff bwt constructor and fun overridding
TR: asked abt my proj and adv of my proj draw back of existing sys how u rectified in yr proj and my role in proj

It takes 35 to 45 min for me but few got less time than me some might hav more than me so it depending upon yr panel and yr performance..

be strong in yr basic technical skills confident while writing query or prog or wed design... don't struck in bwt.... be calm....

my personal advice is !!!!! plz don't get fear aft studying others comments !!!!( beca me got tat feel aft read few ppl comments ) which reduces yr confident having said that u can take some interesting things, tips and idea how to handle those ques.....

if u r strong at basic prog, basic db queries, core sub(os,n/w,DS) basics and 100% confidence no one can stop u.. go ahead!!!!!! success is yrs!!!!!

Hello i got placed in TCS off campus held on18 december in bangalore..i got the offer letter...but i'm worried about my joining letter,which has not yet arrived....so anyone please tell when can i expect the letter..please anyone..

Hello frnds, so i will share my experience with you guys. This review will be helpful for students who have done their btech in ECE.

First round was written, i practiced email writing from campusgate, and that was more than enough, read questions and try to write email within time limit(i used ms word to write), for aptitude i recommend go through r.s aggarwal for clearing basics or if your basics are up to date then start practicing from campusgate and m4maths, its more than enough.

I completed my mail in 6mints( 10 mints time was given) and rechecked it for any correction.
For aptitude there were two sections,in section A there were 28 questions i attempted almost 21-22 questions.
And in section B there were 2 questions,these questions have more weight age ,i attempted only 1 question.
Do not try to attempt all questions as there is negative marking, 22-23 are enough for selection.

In technical round, there were many students, we were standing outside a hall and interviewer were calling names on by one, there were many interviewers
So my name got called, i entered

intvr- tell me about your self
me- i told about btech and schooling and family, my interest are gaining knowledge about new technology(i have studied about cloud computing, lifi , transparent solar pv cells etc. in case if he asks)
I have participated in circuit designing competitions, and i love you tubing, and reading articles on geek.com and tech crunch, and watching funny shows on you tube ,9gag and tv.
And i am a self motivated person with hard working attitude.

intvr- (with smiling face) what do i get if you like comedy shows,what qualities you have that can contribute to tcs
me- (i was also laughing)
i did not said anything i was black out for a moment

me- sir i know c,c++,basics if java and i also did android workshop(and showed him my messaging app)

intvr- why we do modulation?
me- As a signal travelling in space ,it get attenuated from various obstacles and noise sources, so by modulating we modulate our message signal over a strong signal and then we transfer it, at destination we use demodulator to get back our original signal.
There are 3 types of modulation AM,FM,PM( he was over satisfied)

intvr- what is flip flop?
me- it is a basic unit to store one byte of memory,we use clock pulse with that,for eg SR flip flop.

intvr- what is multiplexing?
me- answered

intvr-what is dead lock?
me - i dont know.

intvr- what happens to resistance on increasing temperature?
me- It depends on material, for metals it increase and for semiconductor it decrease( explain with molecular structure and in depth).

intvr- do you know coding?
me -yes

what is threading?
me- explained ,and give examples too.

intvr- Do you know concepts of oops?
me- explained inheritance,polymorphism,class and objects,encapsulation,abstraction,dynamic binding of code with examples.
(he was over satisfied)
(if you want to study got to you tube and search for vikas chandra pandey lectures)

intvr- write a program to print a string in reverse?
me -did by using strrev.

intvr- write again without using strrev?
me -did.

intver-any questions from me?
me- can you give me feedbak,how was i?,if i am not selected today i will prepare again and will not do same mistakes.

recently chennai is devastated with floods, tcs gave 2-3 months advance salary for chennai region they gave 1100 cr rupees and medical facility and reimbursment of bills, who does not want a employer like this?

me- to understand a machine completely we need knowledge of both electronics and software, i have knowledge of electronics but to gain knowledge of software i need to join a software compny, i am too curious too learn, one of my teacher started teaching computer after colg hours and it builts up interest in me. and then i also did android development workshop in which i developed many apps.
I have offer letter of an electronics company as R&D engineer but i did not join because i love computers and coding.

me - NO(fellow friends ,never say yes to this question, company will think he/she will leave the job to study, and you can always leave after joining)

me- i am cool with that.

me- i want to travel world,will start with india.

me- definately, i really like afgani chicken.

me - i play guitar and drums

intvr-you got 87 in 10th,83 in 12th and 64.7 in btech why?
me- i only studied my fav subjects in btech,and i had a major surgery.

so result was declared i got selected, i want to thanks m4maths for my success.
PS - prepare everything about basic programs, read about tcs, and their achievements, what is their contribution in india and in world, their slogan, no. of employees,stock price,ceo etc.
how they are helping in digital india and make in india program.
read about your projects and summer training.
Do not stick with your technical skills,they want employees who have done some extra curricular activities,i also prepared a joke in case if they ask tell me a joke.

i got placed in tcs off campus 2015. First round was written .....i had just prepared from campusgate, m4maths and r.s. agrawal......cleared the round. Next round was TR.....i was asked questions on servlets in java, HTML, OOPs concept, method overriding, diamond problem in C++, interface and was asked to write a program for fibonacci series and a pattern given by him.....i gave all the answers and the interviewer told me then and there that you have cleared the Technical round ......now go for your MR round.

Next MR round.....the interviewer was very friendly and he first asked me the FAV question tell me something about yourself!!!! TOLD then....he asked about my family background, and situational questions like being a girl what would u do if u r told to work until 2 in the night? also he asked my hobbies,strength and weakness. and the last question .....Impress me in 2 minutes!!!!!...........

after MR, results were announced and i was told that i was selected and i went for my HR round...............it was just a formality .....she asked me that FAV question, family background and relocation.....That It!!!!!

i just want to tell all the TCS aspirants to just be calm and be yourself during the interviews.....but most importantly crack the written test.............half the battle is won if u clear it!!!!

I attempted 21 questions including 1 star question which is correct in TCS in these 2 questions may get wrong and remaining are correct....What are my chances to clear written test....??

Thanks m4maths got placed in tcs. Just go through campus gate and m4maths tcs previous year solved questions. i got 18-20 out of 30. That's more than enough to clear the first round. Thanks a Lot m4maths !!!

1.Aptitude- More concentration on verbal part and normal basic aptitude which can be easily solved (Study in M4maths and other websites)
2.Tech- Basics of your subjects. Basic coding for non IT and medium level coding for IT students. Be confident while you talk
3.HR- Normal conversation. While HR asks you to put a signature, read that document and sign that. Thats very important in HR.

Fianlly got placed in accenture and wipro

First U have to give aptitude Test...You have to solve 45 questions in 45 min...co cubes conducts the exam.
Well except English passage part it was easy
After that You will have GD...They Gave Us social media as GD topic.
Then technical and hr round.
Technical questions from OS,digital electronics,dbms,data structure,c,java etc but they just check your basics.
Finally placed @ Ericsson
