If you need of remainder 35, while dividing a number by 460. The Unit place of that number must be 5. So 5678+797= 6475
6475/460 gives reminder 35

The right option is 797 because 460*14=6440....(5678+797)%460=797

the ans is 797 ,
add this number (797+5678)=6475 now we have to divide this number by 460 after dividing we get a fraction number =14.076086 now to get the remainder we know that remainder part will come from the fraction part ie (14.076086-14=0.76086) so after mutiplying this( 0.76086 x 460 ) you will exactly the remainder ie
35, which is answer......

Remainder(5678/460)=158
Now 158-35=123
460-123=337
Number=460*k+337
k=1 then number= 797

5678/460..remainder is 158...460/460=1..i.e.rem=1...495/460..rem=35...hence 158+337=495...so tha t rem=35...hence ans: 337

Dividend = divisor × quotient + remainder
5678 = 460 ×12 + 158
Here 158 is the remainder. we need the remainder to be 35 by adding a number.
Let the number to be added be x.

Since 158>35, the quotient we will get by dividing (5678+x) by 460 should be greater than 12. It may be 13, 14, 15 etc. but i am taking the lowest one here i.e.13.

So (5678 +x) = 460 × 13 + 35 (here 35 is remainder)
⇒ 5678 + x -35 = 460 × 13
⇒5643 + x = 460 × 13
⇒x = 460 × 13 - 5643
⇒ x = 337

If you take 14 to be the quotient, you will get x= 797
If you take 15 to be the quotient, you will get x= 1257
If you take 16 to be the quotient, you will get x= 1717 etc....
The x will increase by 460 as you increase the quotient by 1.

answer is 302. divide 5678 by 460, remainder is 158, 5678-158 is divisible by 460 now add 460 to (5678-158) then it gives 5980 which is 302 greater than 5678

(158-35)=123
The numbers must be added=(1078-123)=955(Ans).

5678/460 gives 158 as remainder
5678-158 = 5520 which is divisible by 460 completely
and we can add multiples of 420 to 5520 so it remains divisible by 460 without a remainder
Since all options given are greater than 460,So we add 920 to 5520 which means we add (920-158) to 5678 = 762
we need 35 remainder , therefore 762+35= 797 ans.
