Area of cube = 6 x 6^2 = 216 sq.cm

Area of rectangular parallelepiped = (2*area of cube) - (area of two faces)
=> A = (2 x 216) - (2 x 6^2) = 360 sq.cm

but breadth and height will remain same i.e 6

so area is 2(lb+bh+hl)
=2( 72+36+72 )
=2*180
=360

There are 6 sides for this rectangular parallelopiped. two faces are square : 6*6
4 faces are rectangle: 12*6. So 4 in all rectangular faces put together = 72* 4= 288
All 2 square faces put together = 36*2 = 72
Total surface area of this parellelopiped is 360 sq.cm

When two cubes of equal given measurements are kept aligned together,it forms a cuboid with length = 12 cm,breadth = 6 cm and height = 6 cm.So,the area of the parallelpiped is 2(lb + bh + lh) = 2 (12.6 + 6.12 + 6.6) cm^2 = 2 (72 + 72 + 26) cm^2 = 2 (180) cm^2 = 360 cm^2.

6+6=12cm will bethe width of rectangle
and hight of rectangle is 6cm

so area of rectangle =12*6=72
