If present age of father=x and son=y, then x+y=60 ---(i) and (x-6)=5(y-6) or x-5y=-24 ---(ii)
On solving (i) & (ii), x=46, y=14, So son's age after 6 years will be 14+6=20 years

let the sons age six years ago be x then fathers age will be 5x
now given the sum of present ages of son and father is 60 i.e x+6+5x+6=60
6x+12=60
6x=48 i.e x=8 then the present ages of son and father becomes as son=8+6 =14 and father=5*8+6=46
But in question we have to find that sons age after 6 years i.e 14+6=20

The age of son after 6 years is 20.
The present age of son is calculated using F + S = 60. Before 6 years it is calculated as (F - 6) = 5(S - 6) and the age of son is calculated

father's present age=x
son's present age=y
sum of their present ages=60 ==> x+y=60 -----eq(1)
6 years ago, father's age=x-6
son's age=y-6
given that, 6 years ago father's age=5 times of son's age ==> x-6=5(y-6) -----eq(2)
on solving eq(1) & (2), we get y=14 ==>son's present age=14
after 6 years son's age=14+6=20
