Read question carefully .we have to find the average when youngest was born so we wont include youngest person.so we have to calculate average age of remaining 6 people.
30*7=210
210-49=161
avg=161/6=26.8

so have total age =210
before 7 years we have to deduct each person age by seven years 210-49=161
so average age would be 161/7=23 ans

age of 6 people(except younger one): 210-7=203
avg age of 6 people in PRESENT(except younger one) = 203/6 =33.83
avg age of people when younger was born = 33.83-7=26.83

Youngest was born before 7 seven years then avg is
210-(7*7)/7=161/7=23
Ans is 23.

Total age is 30x7=210
Youngest one is 7. So the remaining is 203.
Before 7 year sum of age is 203-(6*7)=161
so the average age is 161/6= 25.83

Average age (present) of 7 members = 30 years
7 years ago, average age of 7 members was 30 - 7 = 23 years.
Since, the youngest member was not born 7 years ago.
Therefore, Average age of remaining 6 members is increased by 23/6 = 3.8 years.
Therefore, 7 years ago, average age of 6 members was 23 + 3.8 = 26.8 years.

x+y+z+a=143

now {(x-7)+(y-7)+(z-7)+(z-7)}/5=avg
{x+y+z+a-28}/5=avg
{143-28}/5=avg
avg=23

Recent age avg = 7*30 = 210
7 years before = 7(years)*6(persons) = 42
210-42 = 168
Avg age = 168÷6 = 28
